Tools that we use, should be used correctly. The tools
for maintaining and repairing our vehicles are sometimes
misused. Some common tools associated in repairing an motor
vehicle will be discussed in this article.

The hammer is actually a weapon used in wars in the earlier
periods but it is used as a tool for for hitting and
thereby applying heavy force to the part of an automobile
in repairing it. A mechanic knife is used to open
cardboard cartons which contain other tools and
instruments for repairing the automobile.

A Cordless Drill is used to create holes in many parts of
the vehicle, too large to insert the steel pop rivet, or
to make holes more specifically in the floor of cars next
to, and usually through the brake line that goes to the
rear brake cylinder of the car.

A hacksaw is the common tool which works on the principle
of Ouija board. It can convert human force into a crooked
and unpredictable motion to cut an object. Aviation metal
snips are the tools which work on the same principle of
hacksaw and used to cut metals.

Vise-grips are used to make the bolt head of a part into a
rounded off head. They can transfer intense heat to the
user~s palm. Oxyacetelene torches are the tools used for
lighting the covert cigarette in closed garage, they are
similar to a Zippo lighter. Whitworth sockets are those
tools which were used in older British cars and
motorcycles. Now they are using for hiding old Salems.

The Drill Press is a tall powerful machine used for
grasping any flat metal from your grip and smacking the
end into your chest. Tweezers are the precision instrument
that is used to remove wood and metal splinters. The Wire
Wheel is used to remove fingerprint whorls and calluses
while fixing a car (see Microdermabrasion for
the hands)(see also Tweezers).

The Hydraulic Floor Jack is a device which is used to
lower a Mustang to the ground just after you have
installed a Ford performance rear end. An ninety six inch
long Douglas fir 2X4 is the tool used to direct a car in
an upward direction and is often used with the hydraulic
floor jack. Tweezers, are the tools specially
used for removing Douglas fir splinters
(see also Band-aids). A Cellular Telephone is a special
tool for calling your neighbor to bring his hydraulic
floor jack, to remove the Douglas fir 2x4.

A Gasket Scraper is used as a kitchen tool for spreading
mayonnaise or mustard on sandwiches, usually outside the
view of the spouse, otherwise the use of Foam ear plug
protectors is recommended. A Timing Light is a useful tool
for illuminating dirt buildup on your crankshaft pulley.
A handy Two-Ton Hydraulic Engine Hoist is used for
verifying the tensile strength of ground straps.

The Battery Electrolyte tester is used primarily to
deliver sulfuric acid from the vehicle battery to the
inside of your toolbox. A Trouble Light is used to
produce light, that is a good source of vitamin D, in the
car, at night. A Phillips Screwdriver is useful for
opening lids of old style, paper-and-tin, oil cans, as a
secondary use it easily create safety screws by rounding
any removal ridges, (see: Vice-Grips).

Even with all the humor, using tools is what seperates us
from most of the animal kingdom. The proper use of the
proper tool will make all things possible. Whether it's
repairing a car, or fixing a washing machine, or building
a space shuttle, Tools, used correctly will keep our
lives rolling.
